The daily five

Last updated: October 27, 2026

Same five for everyone

On a given day, every player gets the same five prompts, in the same order. That is the whole of the daily game. The five are chosen from the approved question bank and stay fixed until the day rolls. You can leave and come back. Progress is kept in the browser, and on the account if you have linked one.

The day changes at midnight Eastern. A tab left open past midnight starts the new set. It does not keep yesterday's questions locked for 24 hours from your last visit.

What counts as finishing

The streak and the daily leaderboard care about whether you finished all five. You can stop partway and finish the rest later the same day. The five do not change until midnight Eastern. Four answers are a partial day: the streak does not get a day for it, and the daily board does not get a finished score. Weekly and all-time boards are built from finished days.

Endless questions you play afterward are a different mode. They show you a split, and they are not converted into daily XP. A partial daily plus a long Endless session is still a partial daily.

You can play the five as a guest. An account is optional. It exists so a streak can follow you to another browser, and so other players can find you by username. Sign-in is a one-time email code or Google. There is no password.

What sits next to the daily game

Ranks lists daily, weekly, and all-time results, plus a friends board if you have added friends. A private room is a separate game you host, with prompts you write for that room. Neither one changes today's five or today's score.

The question library on this site is the readable bank the daily set is drawn from. It is not the day's five. Today's five are only visible by playing, because the point of the round is to answer before you study the crowd.

Ads and the score

When ads are shown, they sit in Endless and along the bottom of the daily game, outside the question. They are not placed between a vote and its result, in a live room, or on the leaderboard. They do not change XP, the streak, or the split. Buzzle is an independent game and is not affiliated with Google.
